Two Columbus residents robbed, assaulted in home

Columbus police are searching for three men who are suspects in a Thursday morning burglary and aggravated assault.

Police Lt. Mark D. Starling said one of the victims, Quantoria Green, gave officers some assistance. "She gave us names and we're searching for those men," he said.

It was around 1:30 a.m. when Green heard a knock on the door at 1811 Riverland Drive. She opened the apartment door and three men wearing black rushed in. They had handguns and they demanded money.

One of the suspects kept the weapon pointed at Green and Victor Moore while the other two searched for valuables.

Later, the men assaulted Moore kicking him in the head and stomach. One eye was swollen shut. Moore was taken to the Medical Center, treated and released.

Among items taken were the cell phones of Green and Moore.
