The eastbound lane of J.R. Allen Parkway at River Road is closed indefinitely while officials clean up a mess created by a water tank collapse early Saturday morning.
The westbound lane is open and traffic is flowing smoothly in that direction.
Complicating the road closure is that pole holding up high voltage power lines are leaning, but still standing.
The road could remain closed for much of the day, said Columbus Police Lt. Jennifer Dunford. The parkway is blocked eastbound from Second Avenue to Bradley Park.
