Learn how to make Classy Cakes
The Columbus State University Division of Continuing Education will hold five classes, "Delicious Classy Cakes" that will teach students how to frost a cake using marzipan, fondant and several other other frostings. The cake at your next party may be one that you made yourself.
This class has teaches tips on how make any cake look upscale and attractive.
Some of the topics are:
Marzipan Madness: Create beautiful fruits, vegetables, and flowers with this moldable almond-based medium
Fondant Fancy: Become comfortable rolling, cutting, coloring and decorating fondant
There will be two holiday classes, to include creating a beautiful gingerbread house or delicious cookies that everyone is sure to enjoy.
Fundamentals of Frosting: 6-8 p.m. Sept. 15 for four weeks. $89.
Marzipan Madness: 6-8 p.m. Oct. 13 for four weeks. $89.
Fondant Fancy: 6-8 p.m. Nov. 10 four four weeks. $89.
Classy Cakes ... and Cookies for the Holidays: 6-8 p.m. Dec. 8 for two weeks. $40.
Gingerbread Houses: 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Dec. 12 for one class. $39.
All classes are in the Columbus Botanical Garden, 3603 Weems Road.
