Drugs Don't Work symposium set for next week

The Greater Columbus Chamber of Commerce will present its second annual Drugs Don’t Work symposium Wednesday.

Michael Thurmond, Georgia Department of Labor commissioner, will be this year’s keynote speaker. Chuck Wade, president and chief executive officer of The Council of Alcohol and Drugs, will also speak.

Attendees will learn about becoming a certified drug-free workplace.

The event will be held at Columbus State University’s Elizabeth Bradley Turner Center, located at the corner of East Lindsey Drive and College Drive.

Registration begins at 10:30 a.m. The event will run from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and will include lunch.

It’s $40 for chamber members and $55 for chamber guests.
