Columbus crime: Macon Road Chevron robbed

A man concealing his identity by pulling his T-shirt up over his face robbed a Chevron gas station Friday.

Columbus police were called around 7:45 p.m. to the business at 3161 Macon Road, where a man with a .22-caliber pistol had walked in and robbed the clerk, said Lt. Charles Kennedy.

The robber got an undisclosed amount of cash and ran behind the store. No one was injured.

The gunman was described as black, in his mid-20s, 5 feet 8 to 5 feet 10 inches tall, and wearing a blue T-shirt.
