Spooky displays are cropping up all across Fort Benning as residents make their final preparations for this year's Halloween observance on post.
Pint-sized princesses, cowboys, astronauts and monsters will be out en masse from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday collecting yummy treats from generous neighbors.
Post residents are encouraged to limit “trick or treating” to the housing area where they live. Children under 13 years of age are allowed to “trick or treat.”
“Trick or treaters” should observe all basic safety precautions to include wearing reflective, fire resistant costumes that are short enough to prevent tripping, using makeup instead of masks that may restrict vision, carrying a flashlight and using caution when crossing streets.
