It's time for "Mommy and Me" Wednesday at the National Civil War Naval Museum at Port Columbus. This new program allows mothers with toddlers an opportunity to meet other mothers for activities and socialization for the kids.
The museum is hosting this program the first Wednesday of every month with hands-on activities, art, music, games and stories. The hour-long program begins at 9:30 a.m.
Tickets are $10 for a mother and one toddler, $5 for each additional toddler. Mothers are treated with free coffee and there are snacks for the kids.
“This is a great opportunity for mothers to be able to socialize with other moms in our community, and provide a fun activity for their children at the same time.” said Nicola Sarn, director of education and programs.
