Columbus crime: 15 to 20 juveniles 'jump' man, rob him

A group of juveniles attacked a Columbus man Halloween night, robbing him of close to $200 in cash, police said.

The 47-year-old was in the yard of a Forest Avenue home around 9:35 p.m. when the group of 15 to 20 juveniles jumped him, reports state. “The (man) stated the group had no weapons and struck him on his head, chest and stomach area,” police said. “The group knocked him to the ground and stole the items.”

Reports show that $187 in cash and a $50 cell phone were taken from him.

The suspects left after taking the man’s cash and phone.

Police said the man had a scrape on his right elbow, though he had no other visible injuries.
