The Armed Forces Rugby Championship is coming to Fort Benning.
Beginning Sunday, Nov. 8, some of the best athletes from all five branches of the armed forces will assemble from around the world on Stewart-Watson Field to compete in the fast-paced, hard-hitting, internationally popular sport of rugby.
The public is invited to attend any of the championship games. There is no admission and parking is free. The competition runs through Nov. 14.
Drivers of vehicles without military stickers will need to stop at the visitor’s center on I-185 or Benning Blvd. to get a temporary access pass. To obtain a pass, drivers should be prepared to show their driver’s license, vehicle registration or rental car contract and proof of insurance.
