Columbus crime: Box Springs man robbed in Carousel Lounge parking lot

A Box Springs man told Columbus police he was robbed and assaulted late Wednesday night.

According to a police report, the 40-year-old man said he was in the parking lot of the Carousel Lounge on Victory Drive at around 11:30 p.m. when three men approached him. One of the men pointed a revolver at him, punched him and robbed him, police said.

Police did not say what was taken. The man suffered abrasions to his forehead and left thumb.

Descriptions were given for two of the suspects. One was described as a black man, between 17 and 20 years old, standing about five feet, four inches tall and weighing about 145 lbs. He was wearing a white shirt, black hoodie and blue jeans. The other suspect was also a black man, between 20 and 23 years old, standing about six feet two inches tall and weighing about 190lbs. He was wearing a blue shirt and brown pants.

The case remains under investigation.
