Columbus crime: $12,000 in damage done in Gibbs Drive burglary

Some $12,000 in damage was done over the past 30 days in a burglary on Gibbs Drive, Columbus police said.

The property manager for the home told officers that someone entered the building between Oct. 6 and Saturday, reports state. The stove range was missing as were the faucets for the kitchen sink, pipes under the sink, the kitchen heat vent, bathroom sink pipes, tub faucet and the copper piping on the hot water tank.

The wall oven unit was damaged, as was the hall vent, heating unit in the hall and outside air-conditioning unit, police said.
