The National Civil War Naval Museum at Port Columbus presents a "Cool History" program about the USS Water Witch at 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. Nov. 27-28.
The program recounts the capture of the ship during the living history weekend. Reenactors will act out scenes of the capture aboard the full-sized replica of the ship that's outside the museum, 1002 Victory Drive.
A living history camp will be on the grounds of the museum, giving visitors a chance to see Civil War era sailors and marines. There will be demonstrations of period military activities including naval blacksmithing and rope making. The reenactors will talk to visitors, answering questions.
Tickets are $5-$6.50.
