The First Gingerbread Jubilee begins today in the RiverMill Event Centre, 3715 First Ave.
This competition and display was inspired by the National Gingerbread House Competition & Display in Asheville, N.C. For the local event, gingerbread houses made by local chefs and amateurs will be on display.
Besides all the gingerbread houses, there will be various children’s activities and holiday cooking demonstrations by the RiverMill's executive chef and owner Jamie Keating. There will also be a silent auction to sell the gingerbread houses.
The Gingerbread Jubilee benefits the Children's Miracle Network.
