Lisa Ellen Taylor homicide case: Cause of death was manual strangulation

A woman found inside a car early Tuesday died from manual strangulation, authorities said.

Lisa Ellen Taylor, 47, was found around 12:30 a.m. inside a white Toyota Camry parked on 25th Street and Riverside Drive. On Sunday, Muscogee County Coroner Bill Thrower revealed the cause of death.

“Everything else is still under investigation,” Thrower said.

Thrower pronounced Taylor dead at 2:05 a.m. Tuesday. Her body was sent to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation crime lab in Atlanta, where the medical examiner ruled her death a homicide.

The case remains under investigation.
