Advance voting in Georgia House District 129 runoff continues today through Wednesday

Advance voting in the Dec. 1 Georgia House District 129 runoff between Steve Earles and Kip Smith continues today through Wednesday.

The district includes most of Harris County, part of Troup County and just four northside precincts in Muscogee: Northside Baptist Church, 959 54th St.; St. Mark United Methodist Church, 6795 Whitesville Road; the Fraternal Order of Police lodge, 8827 Heiferhorn Way; and Wynnbrook Baptist Church, 500 River Knoll Way.

Through Wednesday, eligible Muscogee voters may cast ballots 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. in the elections office on the ground floor of the Columbus Government Center’s west wing.

Harris voters may cast ballots 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Courthouse Annex, 102 N. College St., in Hamilton.

In Troup, voters may cast ballots 8 a.m.-5 p.m. in the registration office on the first floor of the Troup County Courthouse, 100 Ridley Ave.

Those offices will be closed Thursday-Friday for Thanksgiving and over the weekend, and no in-person voting takes place on Monday, when poll workers prepare for election day. All District 129 polls will be open 7 a.m.-7 p.m. Dec. 1.
