Muscogee County Juvenile Court Judge Aaron Cohn is profiled in the fall issue of Juvenile & Family Justice Today, a national magazine.
“It’s a honor,” said Cohn, 93. “I feel very good about it. There are more than 2,000 judges across the country.”
The magazine is starting a regular feature on one its member judges. Cohn, a lifelong Columbus resident who has been on the bench for 44 years, was the subject of the initial article.
Cohn served as president of the National Counsel of Juvenile & Family Court Judges in 1982-83.

In the article, Cohn was asked what keeps him going on the tough days.
“I know that it goes with the territory,” he said. “I don’t care how tough the case is, I am going to decide based on what’s in the best interest of the child. I don’t care about running a popularity contest. And I go home at night and I sleep. That’s why I have been here nearly 45 years.”
