Irish-born visual artist Mark Clare, who is this semester's artist-in-residence in the Columbus State University department of art, will speak about his work at 6 p.m. Wednesday in Carpenters Hall, 4 Ninth St.
Clare uses video and photography to document performances and public interviews. He poses questions to people and records their answers.
In his recent work, he has been drawn to the emblematic potential of an object, ranging from architecture and sports to every day household objects.
While here, he will conduct interviews of people illiciting their views on socialism, which he will then turn into an art project that he will install this fall.
