A good hockey game usually includes fights on the ice, but some local school children got more than they expected during a Cottonmouths game this morning.
Nine minutes into the first quarter of the Snakes’ game against the Mississippi Surge, four players from each team were ejected for misconduct after getting into a shoving match that escalated into a line brawl. A line brawl is a fight or series of fights that involves most, if not, all the players on the ice.
The game was attended by groups of students from several local schools in Muscogee County and Phenix City, as a reward for good conduct.
“I was like, ‘Wow,’ said Fort Middle school eighth grader Tre’vonn Harper. “I wished I was out there to help them.”
