An Opelika, Ala., man was arrested Thursday in connection with three robberies the previous day.
Patrick Earl Jenkins, 19, was arrested around 11:45 a.m. CST at an Opelika hotel, police said. He was wanted for questioning in the robberies of three convenience stores Wednesday night.
According to police, the suspect robbed the Tiger’s Den Exxon Store on Shug Jordan Parkway at 6:10 p.m. CST Wednesday. About thirty minutes later, officers learned about another robbery at the Liberty store on East Glenn Avenue. Then, around 7:23 p.m. CST, police heard about a third robbery at a Chevron on South College Street.
The suspect had a handgun in each robbery and took money from the cash register, police said.

An officer saw the suspect leave the Chevron and chased him, though he escaped. Moments later, a vehicle police say was connected to the robberies was seen in the Wal-Mart parking lot on South College Street.
Officers arrested a 23-year-old woman inside the vehicle. Jenkins was arrested the next day
