Columbus State University has canceled scheduled classes for Friday before the forecast of snow and icy road conditions.
The decision was announced at 5:30 a.m. by university spokesman John Lester.
"As always, faculty, staff and students should make their own travel decisions based on conditions around them, and never put themselves in a potentially harmful situation," Lester said.
