— Brookstone School
— Muscogee County schools: Students and teachers were on winter break already. All schools and administrative offices are now closed due to inclement weather. Employees who need to pick up a hard copy of their pay check today can pick up their checks from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. this morning at the Muscogee County Public Education Center on Macon Road. Athletic events scheduled for today have been put on hold.

— Phenix City schools: Will start day at normal times, but will dismiss all students early. South Girard and Central High School will dismiss at 11:30 a.m. and all elementary schools will dismiss 12:30 p.m.
— Lee County, Ala., schools. Decision was made this morning.
— Auburn city schools (classes will resume Tuesday)

— Lakeside School, Eufaula
COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES
— Columbus State University: Has canceled all Friday classes.
— Chattahoochee Valley Community College: All classes canceled Friday, classes resume as normal on Saturday.
— Columbus Technical College: No classes are scheduled, but the library, usually open on Fridays, will be closed.
— All of Troy University's Alabama campuses, including Phenix City, have canceled Friday classes. The Chinese New Year Celebration, scheduled for Friday at 6:30 p.m., on the Troy Campus has been postponed.
-- Auburn University has canceled all Friday classes and normal business operations
Friday is a scheduled training holiday for the Presidents Day weekend, so many Fort Benning employees already have the day off. Fort Benning employees scheduled to work Friday should report at their normal duty time. Should the need to close the post become necessary, Fort Benning authorities will make a public announcement through local media.
All branches of the Chattahoochee Valley Library System will be closed today due to inclement weather.
