Amazing Race Season 16 recap: Big Brother’s Jordan and Jeff in 1st place

The first episode of Season 16 of the Amazing Race saw Big Brother alums Jordan Lloyd and Jeff Schroeder get first place, while Dana and Adrian were eliminated.

Dana and Adrian were cut from the show because Adrian failed to walk across an elevated cable. The high school sweethearts finished last.

Caitlin Upton, the 2007 Miss Teen USA pageant contestant known for the phrase “the Iraq,” and boyfriend Brent Horne had finished second, though they received a 30-minute penalty because they didn’t finish the course correctly. That sent them back to seventh place.

The first leg of the race began in Los Angeles, Calif., and ended in the country of Chile.

Lloyd won the 11th season of “Big Brother,” while Schroeder got a $25,000 prize for being America’s favorite player. The pair had a close relationship on the show.

“The Amazing Race” Web site lists them as newly dating.
