A large crowd at a Buena Vista Road club led to the arrest of a Columbus man early Sunday, police said.
Officer David Podger was the one who saw the large crowd at 3645 Buena Vista Road Suite B around 3:45 a.m. He and other officers entered and found Bolivar Glenn, 35, who said he was the manager and owner, police said.
Podger went further into the club, walking through a large crowd. Several people had plastic, red cups, and the officer saw beer and other drinks inside many cups on various tables, reports state.
One of the officers went to see the business license, which read in part: “not allowed to sell & serve alcohol beverages,” reports state.

Glenn told police that he tried to get an alcohol license, though because he was within 300 feet of some apartments, he was denied, reports state.Glenn was arrested and charged with unlicensed sale of alcohol on premises, police said.
