One of two men wanted in connection with an armed robbery was arrested Monday, jail records show.
Megail Thirkield, 20, was arrested at 3737 Old Cusseta Road at 3:45 p.m., Muscogee County Jail records state.
Thirkield and Daniel Pitts, 22, are wanted for a Feb. 11 aggravated assault and armed robbery on Sheridan Avenue, said Columbus Police Lt. Lynn Joiner. Someone was robbed and shot in the leg.
Thirkield is charged with armed robbery, aggravated assault, possession of marijuana, abandonment of a controlled substance and obstruction of an officer.

Pitts, who remains at large, also is wanted for another shooting on Wade Street in which someone was shot in the hip. In addition, Pitts also is sought in connection to Feb. 9 assault and carjacking on Winston Road, police said.
Pitts is 5-foot-7, 120 to 135 pounds and his hair possibly has twists. He is known to be armed with a handgun, Joiner said.
