A 19-year-old Columbus man was robbed Monday afternoon when a suspect flagged down his vehicle, police said.
The driver and a passenger were on Rosemont Drive around 4:45 p.m. when they were flagged down. They stopped the car, and the suspect said, “My name is Matt” before he pulled a black, semi-automatic pistol and pointed it at the passenger, reports state.
The passenger handed over his wallet, though the driver told the suspect he had no cash, reports show.
The suspect then ran, taking cash out of the wallet and dropping it to the ground, police said.
