UFO or military aircraft? Odd lights over Gulf of Mexico had panhandle Floridians wondering

An online newsletter for UFO buffs is reporting that strange lights in the night sky near Santa Rosa last week had Florida residents and vacationers wondering if alien spaceships might be paying a visit.

Mutual UFO Network Eastern Region Director George Filer, author of Filer's Files, today reported that folks noticing the odd lights over the Gulf of Mexico started calling a local TV station Friday to ask what was up. That prompted the station's chief meteorologist to note the reports on the nightly newscast, though he was skeptical of the UFO theory.
