LAGRANGE, Ga. — Callaway High School students are hosting an art show to call attention to Down Syndrome.
The Art of Down Syndrome is a collection of paintings meant to inform the public on the syndrome. The show, also supported in part by the Grassroots Arts Program, is the creation of Callaway's National Art Honor Society.
Student artists from the honor society will have their work exhibited in two locations.
Work will be shown at the West Georgia Children's Theater, located at 402 E. Main St. in Hogansville, Ga.. The artwork will be on display April 29 and 30 and May 1, 7 and 8 from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Work will also be shown May 2 and 9 from 2:30 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Artwork will also be displayed at the LaGrange Art Museum Education Center beginning May 22 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at its official opening. Work will also be displayed during regular museum hours May 23 through May 29.
