A LaGrange man police say attacked a 27-year-old woman early Tuesday had his gun wrested from him by the woman and was shot.
David Jackson, 39, allegedly attacked the woman at her Old Airport Road home around 5:30 a.m. as she arrived with her sister and her children. Jackson tried to shoot her, though the woman managed to grab the gun and she shot Jackson in defense, police said.
Officers found Jackson on the ground with gunshot wounds in a leg and an arm. He was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital for treatment, and will face charges including aggravated assault, stalking, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, criminal damage to property, criminal trespass and cruelty to children, reports state.
