The University of Georgia Small Business Development Center and the Georgia Department of Revenue present the 2010 Georgia Sales & Use Tax Seminar 10 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Columbus Public Library, 3000 Macon Road.
The seminar is designed to help taxpayers understand current sales and use tax law, exemptions, electronic return filing, paper form preparation, and other areas of interest.
Topics to be covered include: Overview of Sales and Use Tax, Sales and Use Tax Return, GTC (Georgia Tax Center) Electronic Customer Self Service System, Exemptions from Sales & Use Tax, and Assessment Dispute Procedures.
The seminar is free and open to the public, but seating is limited and preregistration is required. Today is the deadline to register.
