Alabama Attorney General Troy King supports the Arizona immigration enforcement law. He is asking a federal district court to dismiss the U.S. Justice Department's challenge to the law.
King and nine other state and territorial Attorneys General joined to support Arizona in an amicus curiae brief filed by Michigan in the case of United States v. State of Arizona.
"This amicus brief is an act of self defense," said King. "Our states are being harmed by the influx of illegal aliens. The Federal Government has failed to protect us by securing our borders. Now that the states are attempting to protect ourselves the federal government has challenged our right to do so."
