W.I.C. program has Farmer's Market Nutrition Program Friday

The Women, , Infants and Children's (W.I.C.) Program at the Columbus Health Department will kick off its annual Farmer's Market Nutrition Program only for active Columbus and Fort Benning W.I.C. participants Friday.

It will begin at 8 a.m. and run through the day.

The program will provide coupons to participants to purchase locally grown fruits and vegetables directly from authorized markets in their community.

Fresh fruit and vegetables will be available in the back parking lot of the Columbus Health Department at 2100 Comer Ave.
