Gum ball bandit pleads guilty to burglary

A man who police say broke into 25 businesses and took gum ball machines pleaded guilty to 10 counts of burglary in Columbus Recorder’s Court today, records show.

Tyrone Love, 35, is accused of breaking into 25 businesses including Lewis Jones on 13th Street, Buck Law Offices on Wynnton Road and CiCi’s Pizza on Whittlesey Road, said Lt. Steve Cox. A video of the suspect breaking into Lewis Jones on Sunday was released to the public on Monday, and Love’s arrest came the following day.

Love appeared before Judge Michael Cielinski this morning and pleaded guilty to 10 counts of burglary. The judge gave Love a $100,000 bond, court records state.
