Columbus authorities arrested Tracey M. Price on Monday on accusations she set two fires to homes in April, Fire Marshal Thomas Streeter said.
Price, 37, faces charges of first-degree arson and third-degree arson, Muscgoee County Jail records state.
The charges stem from two fires, the first of which happened at 4207 Oates Ave. on April 10. The suspect is accused of setting the home’s front porch on fire, causing some $30,000 in damage, Streeter said.
“It did some pretty extensive damage,” he added. “It started on the front porch and rolled inside the house.”
The second fire was at 4320 Third Ave. on April 23. The suspect burned the home’s front door, causing about $200 in damage, Streeter said.
The motive behind the fires is unknown, the fire marshal said.
