The Columbus GA Tea Party is holding two protests this week against a drilling ban in the Gulf.
This first is scheduled from 5-7 p.m. today. The second will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, said Sandy Toth, the group's organizer.
The protests will occur at three intersections: Manchester Expressway and Veterans Parkway, Manchester Expressway and Armour Road and Adams Farm Drive and Veterans Parkway.
Toth said her group's demands are specific, which include stopping the oil spill at its source, getting government agencies out of the clean-up effort's way and stopping all court actions that are trying to halt drilling.
