Man wanted by Troup County on murder accusations caught in New York

A man wanted by Troup County authorities on a murder accusation was captured in New York on Tuesday, sheriff’s deputies said.

U.S. marshals caught Daniel Lee Allen in Brooklyn while he sat in the waiting room of the Brooklyn Medical Center’s emergency room around 1:25 p.m. Allen was wanted in connection with January accusations that he played a role in the kidnapping and death of Dwayne Louder, of Greenville, Ga., said Sgt. Chad Mann.

When marshals approached the suspect, he said his name was Rondell Quick — a name he used when asked by New York police about a shooting in which Allen is now viewed as suspect, Mann said.

Marshals took Allen into custody without incident, and he’s being held at a Bronx, New York, corrections facility. Once fingerprint results are returned and the suspect’s identity confirmed, Troup County authorities will be contacted, Mann said.
