Columbus crime: Man caught during burglary at Budget Car Sales

Police say they caught a burglar in the act early Sunday at Budget Car Sales, reports state.

Officers responded to an alarm at the 6225 Veterans Parkway business around 12:48 a.m. When they arrived, they spotted the suspect inside the showroom, police said.

The suspect saw the officers, and he ran out of the building, said Sgt. Art Sheldon.

“The guy ran, they gave chase, they caught him next door,” the sergeant added.

Samuel Lee White, 48, was charged with burglary, criminal damage to property and obstruction of an officer, police said.
