Mark your calendar: Swim where FDR swam at Warm Springs

It's an annual tradition in Warm Springs.

The historic, therapeutic pools built by President Franklin Delano Roosevelt are open to the public once a year.

"Swim the Warm Springs -- Dip Into the Past" is 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Sept. 4-6.

These pools, where Roosevelt swam for therapy, will be filled with naturally warm spring water. These pools are usually kept empty for preservation.

Reservations are suggested. Space is limited to 80 people per session, and tickets are sold on a first-come, first-served basis. The 90-minute sessions begin at 10 a.m.

$20; $12.50 for those ages 6-17; $75 per family.
