Columbus crime: Police officer almost hit intentionally by minivan driver

A Columbus police officer almost was hit intentionally by a minivan driver early today, reports state.

Patrol Officer Mark Whaley, 31, was outside the Money Back, 5757 Buena Vista Road, around 1:30 a.m. when the suspect tried to strike him with a 1990s Chevrolet Venture, police said.

Whaley was uninjured.

The suspect is a man who’s missing his top front teeth, reports state.
