Columbus crime: Man knifed while trying to repossess furniture

A 39-year-old man was knifed several times Tuesday afternoon as he tried to repossess furniture from a Steam Mill Road home, police said.

Two suspects rushed the man from behind as he walked toward an apartment, telling him to “give it up.” They then pulled small, black steak knives and slashed him on both arms before kicking and punching him, reports state.

When police arrived, they found the man lying behind an apartment building near the tree line. He had several cuts on both forearms and a puncture wound on his right side, reports state.

The man was taken to The Medical Center, where he had superficial injuries, police report.

Both suspects are men between 15- and 20-years-old, reports state.
