Troup County authorities are searching for a man accused of being found unconscious while surrounded by illegal and prescription drugs — a discovery that led deputies to even more suspected drugs at his home the next day, reports state.
Christopher D. Drake, 36, was found unconscious in his vehicle on Aug. 2 and taken to a Columbus hospital. When deputies searched his vehicle, they found different amounts of various drugs, a release states.
The next day, authorities executed a search warrant at Drake’s home, finding 2 1/2 pounds of suspected marijuana, several bags of suspected cocaine and more than $21,000 in cash, authorities said.
Drake has failed to turn himself in since his release from the hospital, and he has warrants out for his arrest on charges including trafficking in methamphetamine and trafficking in cocaine, a release states.
