Columbus crime: Three injured in midnight drive-by shooting

Two women and a man were injured during a drive-by shooting just after midnight Thursday, according to Columbus police.

The shooting occurred near the intersection of 16th Avenue and 25th Street about five minutes after midnight, Lt. Steve Cox said.

A 19-year-old woman was shot in the back and a 31-year-old man was struck in his right side and the bullet lodged in his pelvis, Cox said. Both were taken to The Medical Center for treatment.

A bullet also grazed a 20-year-old woman along her hairline. She was also treated at The Medical Center and released.

The car was described as a small, possibly green, Honda.
