Big Brother 12 winner: Hayden Moss won Big Brother, Britney Haynes is favorite player

Hayden Moss, a 24-year-old college student, won "Big Brother 12" in a 4-3 vote Wednesday night.

Lane Elenburg got second place. Hayden gets $500,000 and Lane gets $50,000.

Britney Haynes was named America's Favorite Player and got $25,000. Britney seems especially deserving amid recent news that her home was damaged by fire.

Here's a full recap of Wednesday's show.

When the episode kicks off, Lane, Enzo and Hayden remain in the competition. Lane and Hayden will compete to see who wins the final HoH.

Julie Chen talks to the house guests. Enzo misses his family, Hayden feels like he can achieve anything, Lane will miss living with a guy who calls himself the "Meow Meow" (Enzo).

Let's check in with the jury house. Britney arrives sporting a homemade T-shirt that reveals the Brigade. Unfortunately, "Brigade" is spelled "Bragade." Let's hope that was on purpose. It's written across her chest, so I'll give her the benefit of the doubt.

With Britney's announcement, the gang learns Matt was once a member of the Brigade. Once again, Ragan feels betrayed. Then, Matt tells Britney he lied about his wife's illness, or non-illness if you prefer. "Does it change my ideas of him as a person? No it reinforces it," Britney says.

Then, it's time to make fun of Rachel. Britney says she expected to arrive at the jury house and find Rachel pregnant.

The jury deliberates which of the top three guys deserves to win. Short summary: There are pros and cons for every player. They agree that nobody really made big bold moves.

Time for the final HoH competition. Hayden and Lane compete in a trivia game about the members of the jury.

They both get the first four questions correct. They both get the fifth question wrong.

They both get the sixth question wrong.

Tiebreaker question: How many times did Big Brother slam you into the walls during the Rumble in the Jungle HoH competition?

Hayden says 91, Lane says 55. The correct answer is 250, so Hayden is final HoH.

Before the final eviction ceremony, Lane and Enzo give very brief "thanks, everybody" speeches.

Hayden evicts Enzo. Hayden and Lane are the "Big Brother 12" top two.

In an interview with Julie Chen, Enzo says Hayden was scared to bring him to the final two because he played such a good social game.

The jury takes the stage on the live show. Enzo joins them. Yes! It's time for the question and answer session.

First up, Rachel asks Lane about his game-playing. He says he started off slowly, but picked up his game later in the competition.

Brendon asks which two non-Brigade members Hayden would like to see in the final two. He says Brendon and Britney.

Matt asks Lane if he would've chosen to take Britney or a Brigade member to the final two. He's non-committal. Then, he says he'd choose a Brigade member.

Kathy asks if Hayden thinks he played a better social game than Lane. "I definitely didn't play any worse...What separated me is the competitions," Hayden says.

Britney asks Lane his most significant contributions to the Brigade. He says making them laugh and watching over them.

Ragan asks Hayden if he regrets anything he said behind anybody's back. "I think I am a pretty good guy," Hayden says, citing no specific regrets.

Enzo asks Lane if he would've taken him to the final two. Lane says he didn't think he could win against Hayden or Enzo.

Hayden and Lane plead their cases to the jury.

"The winner should be the person who played the game the best...I won five competitions, Lane won one," Hayden says. "I feel like I deserve to win this game...If you're voting on who the best player is, it's me."

And Lane? "I played this game to every aspect," he says, adding that "Big Brother" isn't only about winning competitions. He also notes he won two competitions, not one.

Voting time! Everybody gives a short comment before voting. Among the highlights? Rachel votes first and says she voted for the best social player.

Matt reminds us that if the full Brigade would've advanced to the top four, he would've won. Um, sure. Enzo says his decision is between who needs a haircut and who needs a shave.

With about 30 minutes left, ousted house guests Kristen, Andrew, Monet and Annie return.

Monet doesn't back down from anything she said about Rachel. Then, we get some footage of the Hayden-Kristen showmance. Kristen has broken up with her boyfriend and is now happily single. She's "open to anything at this point."

Hayden's response? "We'll see what happens. Kristen's an amazing girl. I'll take her out to get some pizza."

Andrew says he was shocked about Matt's wife's (lack of) illness. Andrew said he knew because Matt was pronouncing it incorrectly.

Remember, Hayden, Lane and Enzo just learned that Matt's wife wasn't really sick. Hayden seems impressed by Matt's trickery. "Make up a lie about your dog, don't make up a lie about your wife," Lane says.

Matt has no regrets about the lie from a strategic standpoint.

Annie, meanwhile, says Enzo was a great player and deserves to be in the top two.

Britney watches show footage and learns Lane would've taken her to the top two. She's very happy. Lane says he told the jury otherwise because he wanted to save his back.

Time to talk about the Brendon/Rachel romance. Brendon says he'd like to get Rachel to move to Los Angeles with him. Rachel says she loves Brendon more than her home in Vegas. Britney looks disgusted. "All she ever talked about was Vegas, Vegas, Vegas," Britney says.

Does Ragan think the relationship will survive? "I think that Rachel will make a beautiful bride," he says.

Now, the answer to an important question. Were there really lifelong friends in the house? No.

Julie Chen asks house guests for their predictions on the second saboteur. Britney thinks it was Matt. Enzo thinks Kathy or Matt. Lane thinks Kathy, Matt or Enzo. Matt jokes and names himself.

The house guests are all surprised to learn it was Ragan.

Time to reveal the votes. Rachel votes for Lane. Kathy votes for Hayden. Matt votes for Hayden. Brendon votes for Lane. Ragan votes for Hayden. Britney votes for Lane. Enzo votes for Hayden.
