Woman once facing molestation charge in online prostitution bust released from jail

One of three woman arrested in February and once accused of prostituting themselves along with a 15-year-old runaway has been released from jail.

Brittnay N. Davis, 21, initially faced charges including child molestation, enticing a child for indecent purposes, prostitution and drug charges. Columbus police arrested her along with Tammy Baughman, 27, and Cassandra Geotcha, 21, on Feb. 6 after an undercover officer contacted an ad on the online classified website Craig’s List.

A Muscogee County grand jury indicted Davis on charges of enticing a child for indecent purposes, Violation of the Georgia Controlled Substance Act and prostitution. Grand jurors declined to indict any of the woman on the child molestation charge.

On Friday, Muscogee County Superior Court Judge Frank Jordan Jr. sentenced Davis to 12 months’ probation on the misdemeanor count of prostitution. Prosecutors dropped charges of enticing a child and the controlled substance act count and Davis was released from the Muscogee County Jail, records state.

Geotcha and Baughman remain in jail, records show.
