The Phenix City School Board will meet Tuesday at 6 p.m. for its September board meeting.
Previously scheduled for Sept. 23, the meeting was moved after scheduling conflicts among officials. The board will meet Tuesday at the system's educational services center, which is located at 1212 Ninth Ave. in Phenix City.
The meeting will be the first time the board has convened since Phenix City Council abruptly voted to remove board president Frankie Horace from his position. Schools officials, who dispute council's ability to remove Horace, have said Horace will attend the meeting and continue in his capacity.
