Columbus Police: North Columbus meth lab discovered near church playground

Columbus police say investigators have uncovered a meth lab across the street from a church playground in North Columbus.

Officers said they hit the house at 6137 Frazier Drive about 11:30 a.m. today. They said the lab was not currently producing methamphetamines, but they found the components to make the drug.

Four people were charge with manufacturing meth. Police identified the suspects as Ronald Price, 38; Christoper Shaw, 23; Jeff Houze, 37; and William Bowden, 36. Police said Bowden rented the house.

The house is on the west side of Frazier Drive right across the street from the Morningside Baptist Church playground. This afternoon officers were waiting for a cleanup crew to clear the house of evidence.
