Muscogee County students have a chance to win a computer from the school district.
The school district's Division of Information Services is sponsoring an essay contest in honor of Technology Learning Month in October. The "Compute The Future" writing contest is open to all students in the Muscogee County School District.
This year's essay topic is digital citizenship. Entries are limited to two pages for elementary school students and four pages for middle and high school students. Students have until October 20 to submit their essay to their principal.
Winning entries will be judged by a panel of community volunteers. The top five finalists will be notified by November 2 and an awards ceremony will take place on November 9.
The district will award a lenovo netbook to one winning student in elementary, middle and high school.
