Murder suspect makes $30,000 bond

Shannon Fields, the 17-year-old facing a murder charge, made his $30,000 bond on Tuesday, jail officials said.

Fields is charged in connection with the June 15 slaying of Wayman Glenn James Jr., 30, who was found shot in the head in the parking lot of 917 Decatur Court. Fields appeared before a judge on Monday, who granted the bond with restrictions, said Assistant District Attorney Crawford Seals.

Attorney Stacey Jackson, who represents Fields, had predicted his client would make his bond this week.
