Columbus crime: Three plead not guilty to charges of armed robbery in Recorder's Court

Two men and a woman accused of robbing a man at gunpoint at Johnston Mill Lofts pleaded not guilty to charges of armed robbery in Columbus Recorder's Court this morning.

Brandon Moon, 22, Jeffrey Massey, 21, and Ashley Perron, 19, were arrested at around 10:45 p.m. Monday night at the apartments on First Avenue. The trio are accused of stealing $950 from a Harris County man in the parking lot of the apartments.

According to court testimony, Perron called the man and asked him to come over to talk and bring her cigarettes. When the man arrived at the apartments, he told police saw Perron, Massey and Moon talking in the parking lot.

They came over to his car. Police said Massey pointed a Ruger SR9 pistol at the man's head and demanded he give him drugs or money.

The man told police that Moon, Massey and Perron took the $950 he had in his pocket for his rent and ran back into the apartments. The man called police, who arrived and arrested the three.

Their cases were bound over to Superior Court.
