Phenix City police are investigating a Wednesday night shooting at Sumbry Hill Apartments.

According to reports, an argument between a 17-year-old and a 19-year-old man led to the younger man pulling a gun and shooting both the older teen and a 20-year-old woman in the apartment parking lot.

Officers were called to the 25th Avenue apartments at 10:52 p.m. By then, the two shooting victims already had been taken to The Medical Center in Columbus.

Capt. Frank Ivey said neither victim had life threatening wounds.

The shooting suspect ran from the area before police arrived.

The suspect is a black man, 5-foot-11 and 180 pounds, Ivey said.
