North Face Endurance Challenge comes to F.D. Roosevelt State Park this weekend

F.D. Roosevelt State Park this weekend will host The North Face Endurance Challenge, a national trail-running event expected to attract about 800 participants.

Held on Saturday and Sunday, the event spans seven races ranging from a 50-mile event to a 5K.

This is one of five North Face Endurance Challenge events held across the nation.

Since limited parking is available at the race site, organizers suggest parking in the beach lot at Callaway Gardens. It's free and a shuttle will run nonstop to the main event on both days.

Last-minute registration is available for all events and costs $55-$125. There's also a free half-mile kids' run on both days.
